WHAT IS TAP?

Tap class is a foundational dance style that will teach students rhythm and musicality. It is a fun and high energy dance class that is crowd pleaser every time. Clean rhythms and sounds can be very intriguing to the ear, and joyful for the body. Tap class will require special shoes that allows the dancer to make loud sounds from their toes to their heals when making connection to the floor.

BENEFITS OF TAP

Brain development: While learning combinations of tap movements, counting, or matching tap sounds to the beat of music, Tap will engage parts of the brain that helps to improve its capacity for learning.

Develop stronger leg and core muscles

 

WHAT TO WEAR

Leotard, tights, hair pulled up and black tap shoes (skirts or shorts are optional to wear over leotard and tights).

Tiny Toes, Mini Juniors and Juniors wear black buckled shoes.

Intermediate, Upper Interediate Advanced wear black boot tap shoes.
